Physical Therapy & Other Services

Our facility provides a physical therapy evaluation for every patient referred to us for care. Following the initial evaluation, if treatment is indicated, an evidenced based treatment plan is designed to meet your goals.

Friendship Heights Rehabilitation Center caters to our multi-generational population with dysfunction related to athletic injuries, pulmonary and neurological disease, as well as a variety of orthopedic conditions, not only for the spine, but for the upper and lower extremities as well.

This includes treatment for acute, chronic, pre- and post-surgical conditions, as well as non-surgical injuries.

Pulmonary Disease
Our patients with pulmonary disease also benefit from physical therapy. Muscular weakness occurs from illness-induced inactivity and certain medications which results in difficulty walking, transferring and negotiating steps and curbs. We teach strengthening exercises, breathing strategies and energy conservation techniques, while monitoring vital signs including oxygen saturation levels, to help promote a return to full function.
